New Principal

Hello! My name is Matt Peregoy and I have the privilege of serving as the High School Principal in Bourbon. I have been blessed with the opportunity to get to meet and work with the faculty and staff in the high school at the end of this school year. In my short time, it has become evident that we have a great team who will work hard to find ways to meet the goals we set. The dedication, flexibility, and focus of this staff is refreshing and I look forward to the coming school year and what we will achieve together.

I spent my own high school years participating in various activities and sports in Lebanon, MO. From Lebanon High School, I went on to study Human Service Agency Management and Criminal Justice at Lindenwood University where I also continued my wrestling career while completing an undergraduate degree. For the next fifteen years, I earned my living in the private sector before deciding to move into education. For the last ten years I have been an educator in the Sullivan School District, serving as an English and technology and engineering teacher along with the head wrestling coach. I earned a graduate degree in education administration from Missouri Baptist University in 2013 and have continued to work to develop professionally throughout the years since.

My wife, Laura, and I have five children: Ethan, Isaac, Adam, Eli, and Abigail ranging in ages from 12 to 21 years. My family is actively involved in a number of pursuits including: church, wrestling, soccer, competitive gymnastics, Boy Scouts, FFA, and more. My wife is a pediatric occupational therapist who owns a clinical practice in Sullivan and services the therapeutic needs of both Union and Bourbon schools.

I am super pumped to pursue this next adventure in my life, both personally and professionally in Bourbon. I am looking forward to meeting the students in the Fall as we re-open school, then the whole team will be together. Please feel free to reach out to me with questions or comments if needed. With a team like this, I can’t help but believe that big things are on the way!
